Salutations! My name is Alyssa, and I’m an equal opportunity pet enthusiast who enjoys talking about fur children, especially my own. I currently have two cats, Garrus and Charlie, although I am fairly sure they believe that they own me. Besides loving on my own fur people, I volunteer in the cat room at my local animal shelter and occasionally foster. I have a tendency to befriend people who are equally passionate about books, geekery, and pets. I also come from a long line of pet fanciers—there are even crazy cat men in my family. It’s awesome.
Growing up, Miniature Schnauzers were the primary family pets, although we did have the occasional cat. I became an official cat owner when I adopted my first cat, Boudicca, and a year later, Nala. Both of these cats have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge While I have a great fondness for Miniature Schnauzers, I currently have only cats in my household. Nevertheless it’s pretty fun.
